Passport Collection Process

Passport Collection Process

After tracking your application online to check if your passport is ready for collection, you can pick it up in person at the end of the visa application process. If your visa application was processed on the submission day, the applicant's receipt will be attached to an additional copy of the biometric data page of the passport, which must be presented when collecting the passport.

Passport collection time in Tehran: 15:00 to 16:00, Sunday to Thursday (no appointment required). Currently, postal delivery is mandatory.

In-person passport collection is only available in Tehran, and passports will be returned via Aramex courier (aramex.com.ir) at an additional cost per passport.

If you are unable to collect your passport in person, you may authorize another person to do so on your behalf. The authorized person must bring a signed authorization letter from you, a photocopy of your passport with the attached receipt, and their identification document (with a photo).

For minors, the authorized person must provide a signed authorization letter from both parents, a photocopy of the child's passport with the attached receipt, and an identification document (with a photo).

When collecting the passport, a photocopy of the passport along with the receipt will be stamped for collection, and any authorization letter, if applicable, will remain at VAC Global.

Upon receiving your passport, it is recommended to immediately verify the accuracy of the visa details against your travel plans.

Important Information for Visa Holders

After receiving your short-term visa, ensure that the details on the visa sticker are correct:

  • Your passport number must match the one on the visa sticker.
  • The entry and exit dates on the visa sticker should align with your flight ticket dates.
  • The number of entries (single or multiple) should match the visa sticker.
  • Your name must be correctly spelled.

Conduct these checks yourself to avoid any issues or additional costs when using your visa. If you notice any errors in your visa, immediately inform the consulate to have them corrected.

How to Read the Visa Sticker

The "Duration of Stay" indicates the number of days you are allowed to remain in the Schengen area. These days must be counted from the date of entry to the date of exit from the Schengen area.

Border Control

Your short-term visa allows you to travel to Greece and other Schengen countries, but it does not automatically grant entry into the Schengen area. You may need to provide additional information at border checkpoints. It is recommended to carry a copy of the documents you submitted during your visa application (such as an invitation letter, travel confirmations, and other supporting documents) to facilitate border control procedures.

Important Notice

You must adhere to the permitted stay duration stated on your visa. Overstaying your visa may result in deportation from the Schengen area and a temporary ban on obtaining a new visa.
